A Pair of Arrests in the Aftermath of London Heathrow Irritant Spray Attack

The assault caused the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
